Jose Oscar Leyva-Leal died peacefully surrounded by his loving family at a local nursing home on August 4, 2019. He was 69.
Mr. Leyva-Leal was born to Eleno Leyva and Margarita Leal on March 19, 1950 at Mazatlán, Sinaloa, Mexico. He has been a resident of this community for over 50 years. He was a hard worker who loved his job of 31 years as a field worker in the harvest of celery. He was an outdoor person who loved nature and liked to go fishing. Mr. Leyva-Leal liked to dance and was the life of the party during events and he enjoyed being surrounded by his family and friends.
Jose Oscar Leyva-Leal is survived by his wife, Manuela P. Leyva of 20 years; one son, Julio Leyva; one daughter, Nelly Leyva; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild and six siblings.
As per his request no funeral services will be held. Mehl’s Colonial Chapel has been entrusted with the arrangements.
