WATSONVILLE — Juan Carrillo Lomeli died at his home surrounded by his family on Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2017. He was 65.

Mr. Carrillo Lomeli was born to Juan Carrillo and Sara Lomeli on July 23, 1952 in La Milpilla, Jalisco, Mexico. He was a resident of this community for about 37 years. He was a hard worker, who always provided for his family. He worked in the apple orchards and later moved onto work as a forklift driver at Earthbound Produce (cannery) for 10 years. He loved to tend to his vegetable, fruit and flower garden and his pet dog, Canelo. He liked watching old movies, going to the casinos, doing repairs and projects at his home. He had great love for his family.

Mr. Carrillo Lomeli is survived by his wife of 33 years, Maria Isabel Garcia; his son, Luis Miguel Carrillo; two daughters, Jeannette Carrillo and Maria Isabel Zamora; two brothers; three sisters; four grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held at Mehl’s Colonial Chapel on Thursday, Nov. 30 from 5-9 p.m. with the rosary recited at 7 p.m. Mass will be celebrated at Valley Catholic Church on Friday, Dec. 1 at 1 p.m. with burial to follow at Valley Public Cemetery.
