Julie Cendejas, 65, passed away peacefully at her home on April 27, 2018 in the presence of her husband Vince and their son Buck.

Julie was born on July 17, 1952 in Des Moines, Iowa and later moved to Cupertino where she spent her formative years and graduated from Lynbrook High School.

Julie was married to Vince for 32 years and enjoyed taking care of the family home for her husband and son. She especially liked baking breads, cakes, and other goodies for family and friends’ gatherings.

In addition, Julie liked to travel with Vince and Buck to various parts of the country including Sturges, South Dakota and Tulsa, Oklahoma. She also enjoyed attending music concerts with Vince and at one memorable performance she heard Van Morrison sing Brown Eyed Girl, one of her favorite songs.

Julie worked for Ford’s Department Store and later was employed by the Pajaro Valley Unified School District for 20 years. She worked as the attendance specialist at Watsonville High School and impressed everyone with her intelligence, organization, kindness, and graciousness. Julie left an indelible mark on the department and the entire school.

Julie leaves her husband Vince, her son Buck, and brothers Paul and Jerry. She was predeceased by her parents Roland and Jean Bellefeuille, and her sister Michelle.

Donations can be made in Julie’s name to either the Fisher Center for Alzheimer’s Research or the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America.

A celebration of Julie’s life is scheduled for 2:00 PM on Tuesday, July 17 at the Community Center in Corralitos. All friends are invited.
