A man was arrested Dec. 4 after Monterey County Sheriff’s deputies found drugs, cash and a loaded gun in a vehicle.

Around 3:15pm, detectives with the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office, with assistance from the Greenfield Police Department and a K9 officer, served a search warrant in the 100 block of San Juan Road in Pajaro.

During the operation, Sheriff’s K9 Rocket alerted to the presence of narcotics inside a vehicle occupied by Refugio Del Campo, 37, deputies said. A search of the vehicle revealed approximately 2.6 pounds of methamphetamine, about a halof-pound of cocaine, $1,700 in cash and a loaded 9mm handgun.

Del Campo was arrested and booked into the Monterey County Jail on multiple felony charges, including possession of a controlled substance for sale, possession of a controlled substance while armed and being a felon in possession of a firearm.

He was not listed as being in custody Sunday night.
