Community members can get a taste of the harvest at 13 farms throughout Santa Cruz County this weekend.

The annual Open Farms Tour is a behind-the-scenes view of how the farms function and what they produce, and a chance to meet the farmers who grow the food they buy in grocery stores and at farmers’ markets

The event runs Saturday and Sunday between 10am and 4pm.

Farms aorticpating this year are Prevedelli Farm, DeerBrook Farms, Blossoms Biodynamic Farm, Esperanza Community Farms, Live Earth Farm, Mariquita Farm, Whiskey Hill Farm, Thomas Farm, Sea to Sky Farm, Beeline Blooms, Pajaro Pastures Ranch and Dos Aguilas olive grove.
