Cabrillo College scored five goals in the second half of Tuesday’s 6-0 Coast Conference crossover win against Monterey Peninsula College in Aptos.

Steven Lopez scored two goals and made an assist and Walmer Martinez dished three assists, while Lennin Naranjo, Jose Magana and Daniel Duran also scored for Cabrillo (8-4-2, 4-2-1), which hosts West Valley College on Friday at 6:30 p.m.

GIRL’S VOLLEYBALL

• Aptos 3, Mt. Madonna 1 – Cam and Peyton Dueck combined for 31 digs to lead the Aptos High Mariners past the Mt. Madonna Hawks to a 25-19, 25-23, 22-25, 25-21 Santa Cruz Coast Athletic League win on Tuesday.

Dani Hewitt and Chloe Manor combined for 20 digs, Jillian Rodriguez finished with 18 kills, 13 digs and three aces and Abbi Saxton chimed in with seven kills and two blocks. Sierra Martin came off the bench and added nine kills for Aptos (11-7, 11-2), which can clinch at least a share of its fifth straight SCCAL title with a win against Scotts Valley High tonight at 6:30 p.m. on senior night.

For Mt. Madonna (14-9, 6-7), Indigo Kelly powered the Hawks’ offense with 43 assists and 10 digs and Gracie Howley added nine kills, eight digs, three blocks and an ace.

The Hawks close out their regular season tonight at 6:30 p.m.

• San Benito 3, MVC 2 – Abbey Lynch had 15 kills, Allie Tillery added 13 of her own and Mattea Romo stuffed the stat sheet with 29 digs, seven kills and 13 assists in a heartbreaking 25-14, 26-28, 19-25, 25-18, 15-10 loss to San Benito High on Tuesday night in Monterey Bay League Gabilan division action.

M.V.C. (12-14, 7-4), which was celebrating senior night, finishes off its regular season tonight at Notre Dame-Salinas at 6:30 p.m.

GIRL’S TENNIS

• Salinas 7, MVC 0 – The Monte Vista Christian Mustangs lost their Monterey Bay League Gabilan division match against Salinas High.

• St. Francis 7, Harbor 0 – The St. Francis High Sharks swept their Santa Cruz Coast Athletic League match against Harbor High on Tuesday.

Gabi Gutierrez, Maya Talavera, Sophia Fryn and Ciella Zivanovich won in singles. The doubles teams of Emily Wells and Avery Croghan, Madeline Kehoe and Kayli Galster and Mika Marheineke and Lexi Houser also won.
