Behind Monserrat Hernandez Marquez’s hat trick, Aptos High rolled past St. Francis High in a 9-0 Santa Cruz Coast Athletic League victory on Thursday night in Aptos.
Hernandez Marquez also made an assist, while Paige Dueck scored twice and made an assist for Aptos (6-3-2, 4-1), which travels to Santa Cruz High on Tuesday for a big SCCAL showdown with Santa Cruz High.
Marylu Escutia added two goals, and Brynn Mitchell and Kristen Martin each had a goal. Olivia Meier dished two assists, and Haley Veldhuis made one assist.
• MVC 4, Pajaro Valley 1 – Kiley Morrell had a hat trick to lead Monte Vista Christian to 4-1 Monterey Bay League Pacific division victory over Pajaro Valley High on Wednesday night.
Alison Zulaica scored once, Sophie Bessa, Caroline Sullivan and Susanna Talley each made an assist for M.V.C.
Sierra Montes made eight saves.
