Aptos High cruised to their seventh straight Santa Cruz Coast Athletic League on Tuesday afternoon, beating Harbor High, 8-0, at Depot Park in Santa Cruz.

Monserrat Hernandez Marquez, Olivia Meier and Gisselle Vasquez all scored two goals apiece for Aptos (10-3-2, 8-1), which can clinch its fifth straight league championship with a win over Scotts Valley High tonight at 7 p.m.

Paige Dueck scored and made an assist, and Haley Veldhuis also scored for Aptos.

BOYS’ SOCCER

• Watsonville 2, Monterey 1 – Jose Villanueva and Alex Gonzalez scored in Watsonville High’s Monterey Bay League Gabilan division victory over Monterey High on Monday afternoon.

Watsonville (10-3-4, 4-1-4) can clinch one of the MBL-G’s three automatic berths to the Central Coast Section playoffs with a win against the North Monterey County High Condors tonight at home.

The game is set for a 6:45 p.m. start.

• Ceiba 4, Pacific Grove 1 – Abram Gonzalez scored a pair of goals in Ceiba College Prep’s Coastal Athletic League win over Pacific Grove High on Tuesday night.

Diego Padilla and David Romo also scored for Ceiba (4-3-2, 3-2-2), which plays at York today at 3:30 p.m.

G LEAGUE BASKETBALL

• Salt Lake City 117, Santa Cruz 108 – The Santa Cruz Warriors lost for the fourth time in their last five games on Tuesday night.

Damian Jones, currently on assignment from Golden State, scored 27 points and Damion Lee chipped in 23 points, five rebounds and four steals. Quinn Cook added 20 points, six rebounds and seven assists for Santa Cruz (18-16), which dropped to third in the Pacific division behind South Bay and Reno.

The Warriors return home on Friday night to play the Texas Legends at 7 p.m.

GIRLS’ BASKETBALL

• San Benito 40, MVC 36 – Angelina Cortes scored 15 points in Monte Vista Christian’s MBL-Gabilan division loss to San Benito High on Tuesday night.

Aleah Rafat finished with six points and nine rebounds for M.V.C. (10-12, 2-8), which hosts Salinas High for senior night tonight at 7 p.m.

The Seahawks play in the Gary Engleken Tourney in Yuba on Thursday.
