Clayton Andrews hit a walk-off, two-out, RBI single to power the Cabrillo College Seahawks to their 11th straight win, a 3-2 Coast Conference Pacific victory over Canada College on Thursday in Aptos.
Jarius Richards was 2-for-4 and scored two runs. Zach Thibaut scored the game-winning run.
Digger Gugale, Easton Vidales and Colton Crabtree all hit doubles. Gugale and Vidales also had an RBI.
Tyler Biersdorff picked up the win after two innings of work. He allowed one walk and struck out three.
Cooper Krug got the start and went seven innings, allowing seven hits, two runs and no walks.
Cabrillo (17-8, 6-0) meets Ohlone at home on Saturday at 1 p.m. in a battle of undefeated CC-P teams. They will play again on Tuesday.

• Watsonville 3, ND-Salinas 0 – The Watsonville High Wildcatz started their inaugural Monterey Bay League Gabilan division season with a statement win over Notre Dame-Salinas on Thursday on the road. The Wildcatz, two-time champions of the MBL-Pacific, beat the Spirits 3-0.
Watsonville pitcher Jessica Rodriguez allowed just three hits and struck out nine in the complete-game shutout.
Watsonville hosted Monterey High on Friday — the results of that game were not known before print — and welcome in Gilroy High on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m.

• Palma 10, MVC 0 – The Monte Vista Christian Mustangs were shutout out in a 10-0, five-inning loss to the Palma High Chieftains on Thursday in Monterey Bay League Gabilan division contest.
Ian Koenig and Dominic Felice each went 1-for-2 for the Mustangs (5-6, 2-6), which will play a make-up game at Palma on Monday at 4 p.m.
• Aptos 9, Pacific Grove 1 – The Aptos High Mariners beat Pacific Grove 9-1 on Wednesday in non-league play.
Will Murphy had a two-run double and Forrest Hays was 2-for-4 with an RBI. Hays got the start on the mound and tossed three solid innings before giving way to Joseph Navarrette, who picked up the win.

• Pajaro Valley 3, Alvarez 0 – The Pajaro Valley Grizzlies swept the Alvarez High Eagles, 25-16, 25-17, 25-21, on Thursday in Monterey Bay League Pacific division action at Watsonville.
Rafael Betancourt and Geovanny Barajas each finished with a team-high 13 kills, while Barajas also added four aces. Ruben Garcia had 11 kills and 22 digs.
Pajaro Valley (7-3, 3-0) hosts Soledad High on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.
• Mt. Madonna 3, Harbor 1 – The Mt. Madonna Hawks edged the Harbor High Pirates, 25-19, 25-27, 25-11, 25-19 on Wednesday night in Santa Cruz Coast Athletic League play.
Brigg Busenhart had 15 kills and Zack Clark added eight from the middle.
• Aptos 3, SLV 0 – Kacey Losik had nine kills, 12 assists and four aces to lead the Aptos High Mariners over the San Lorenzo Valley High Cougars, 25-13, 25-15, 25-14, on Wednesday night in Santa Cruz Coast Athletic League action.
Jayson Guy had nine aces and six kills, Michael Spinelli made 14 assists and Jordan Notari added seven kills and three aces.

• MVC 72, Watsonville 64; MVC 116, PV 14 – The Monte Vista Christian Mustangs picked up two Monterey Bay League Pacific division wins over Watsonville High and Pajaro Valley High during a Wednesday afternoon dual meet.
Jordan Marquez won the 110-meters (17.45 seconds) and 300 (48.86) hurdles, while Darren Selck won the high jump (5-feet, 8-inches) and the long jump (19-0) for MVC.
Watsonville High had two double-winners, too. Issac Ruiz won the 800 (2:10.27) and the 1,600 (4:52.87) and Pedro Alcantara took first in the shot put (40-8) and discus (126-6).

GIRL’S TRACK AND FIELD
• Watsonville 79, MVC 53; PV 70, MVC 64 – Watsonville High and Pajaro Valley High both notched Monterey Bay League Pacific division wins over Monte Vista Christian on Wednesday.
Pajaro Valley’s Rubi Genis won the high jump with a school-record leap of 4-feet, 8-inches and also won the 800-meters (2 minutes, 39.55 seconds) and the long jump (14-7).
Watsonville had four double-winners. Daniela Salazar won the 400 (1:04.66) and 800 (2:34.85). Stephanie Villa took the first in the 1,600 (6:03.26) and 3,200 (12:54.57). Daniela Castro was first in the shot put (27-11) and discus (92-11). Jackie Barocio won the long jump (14-7) and triple jump (31-1).
Freshman Delaney Ezeji-Okoye won the pole vault (10-0), 100 (13.52) and 200 (28.0), while also helping the 4×100 relay team to a win.

• St. Francis 214, Soquel 254 – Izzie Mendez fired a 47 to earn medalist honors for St. Francis High in a Santa Cruz Coast Athletic League win over Soquel last week at Spring Hills Golf Course.
Chris Copriviza (52), David Vasquez (52) and Dylan McKenna (63) also scored for St. Francis.

• MVC 7, Pacific Grove 0 – The Monte Vista Christian Mustangs blanked the shorthanded Pacific Grove Breakers, 7-0, on Thursday.
Mitchell Markoff, Nathan Amaris, Benji Hsu and Charlie Xiao all won their singles matches in sweeps, while the doubles team of Terry Zhuang and David Zhou went the distance to win their match. The Mustangs won the last two doubles matches by default.
• Salinas 6, MVC 1 – The doubles team of Bill Gao and Tiger Wang picked up the Monte Vista Christian Mustangs’ lone win in Wednesday’s 6-1 loss to Salinas High.
Gao and Wang won 6-3, 1-6, 10-4.

• Breakers win Spring Cup – The Watsonville Breakers boy’s 2004 team won the bronze/silver division at the 2017 Santa Cruz Breakers Academy Spring Cup at Twin Creek Sports Complex in Sunnyvale on Sunday.
The Watsonville Breakers, coached by Leo Arias and Ruben Manaña, went undefeated through the tournament and beat Soccer Club Force 04B III, 3-1, in the championship game.

D-LEAGUE BASKETBALL
• Santa Cruz 106, Austin 103 – The Santa Cruz Warriors inched closer to a playoff spot with a wild 106-103 win over the Austin Spurs on Thursday night on the road.
Phil Pressey paced the Warriors (28-19) with 24 points on 7-for-15 shooting from deep and 10-for-10 from the free-throw line. Golden State Warriors assignee Damian Jones recorded a double-double with 23 points and 12 rebound, while also adding four blocks. James Southerland (11) and Kevon Looney (10), who was assigned to Santa Cruz on Wednesday night by Golden State, were the only other Warriors to score in double figures.
Santa Cruz trailed for the majority of the fourth quarter but took the lead for good on Pressey’s jumper with 9.9 seconds left to play.
Austin’s Jeff Ledbetter hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer to tie it up at 106-all but upon further review the officials deemed the
ball was still in his hands when time had expired.
Santa Cruz continues its road playoff push today in Southern California against the Los Angeles D-Fenders at 6:30 p.m.
