The Cabrillo College Seahawks were swept out of the California Community College Athletic Association NorCal Super Regional round by Ohlone College over the weekend, losing the best-of-three series 2-0. They dropped Game 1, 5-4, on Friday and saw their season come to a close on Saturday with an 8-4 loss.
Cabrillo finished with a 29-15 overall record.
Digger Gugale had a monster series. The redshirt freshman first baseman was 4-for-7 with a double, a triple, a home run, an RBI and four scored runs in the series.
Adam Rossit also hit a home run for Cabrillo.

HS SWIMMING
• Clarke takes 8th, 12th – Aptos High junior swimmer Spencer Clarke took eighth in the 200-yard individual medley and 12th in the 500 freestyle at Saturday’s Central Coast Section Swimming and Diving Championships at the Santa Clara International Swim Center.
Clarke posted a time of 1 minute, 53.96 seconds in the 200 IM and finished the 500 free in 4:40.10.
Clarke was the lone Mariner to advance from Friday evening’s CCS semifinals to Saturday’s championship round.
Senior Kathryn Bockman, who will swim for UC Davis next season, took 19th (1:56.06) in the 200 free and 25th (5:17.55) in the 500 free on Friday.
Freshman Madi McBride was 29th (1:00.77) in the 100 backstroke and placed 43rd (2:16.77) in the 200 IM on Friday.
Freshman Ian McGuckin took 45th (1:02.75) in the 100 breaststroke.
Junior Alex Estrada was 50th (50.9) in the 100 free.
The boy’s 400 free relay was 19th (3:19.19).

HS BASEBALL
• Watsonville 12, North Salinas 0 – Gio Gonzalez tossed five innings of two-hit ball to lead the Watsonville High Wildcatz to a 12-0 Monterey Bay League Pacific division win over North Salinas High on Friday’s Senior Night.
JoJo Vargas hammered his fourth homer of the season and finished 2-for-3 with three RBIs. Maximilian Ramirez IV went 2-for-3 with four RBIs.
