The Pajaro Valley High School Grizzlies fell in four sets to Seaside High, 25-22, 25-18, 25-20, 25-13 at home on Wednesday night.
The Grizzlies’ Julie Che and Natalia Arroyo each had 10 points on serve. Lourdes Diaz chipped in nine.
Che and Isabella Langarica both had eight aces.
Pajaro Valley traveled to Monterey Thursday night to play the Toreadors. The results of that game were unavailable as of press time.
• Watsonville 3, St. Francis 0 – The Watsonville High School Wildcatz defeated the St. Francis High School Sharks in three sets on Wednesday night, 25-20, 25-18, 25-11.
St. Francis played Santa Cruz Thursday night, and Watsonville traveled to Scotts Valley. The results of both games were unavailable as of press time.
• Soquel 3, M.V.C. 0 – The Monte Vista Christian School Mustangs fell in three sets to the Soquel High School Knights on Tuesday night, 25-11, 25-21, 25-10.
The Mustangs welcomed Aptos High School Thursday night. The results of that game were unavailable as of press time.
• Mount Madonna plays in Everett Alvarez Tournament – The Mount Madonna School Hawks finished 4-2 during the two-day Everett Alvarez Tournament Aug. 31-Sept. 1.
The Hawks defeated Sequoia High School of Redwood City, Saint Thomas More of San Jose, King City High School and North Salinas High School. They fell to Mercy High School of Burlingame and Soquel High School.

• Felix named Freshman of the Week – Watsonville High School alumna Gabriella Felix, now playing for the Holy Names University women’s soccer team, was named PacWest Freshman of the Week for Aug. 27-Sept. 2.
In her first match with the Hawks, Felix scored the game-winning goal late in double overtime to give HNU a 3-2 win against UC Merced in non-conference play on Sept. 1. Overall, Felix took two shots in the season opener.
