WATSONVILLE — A 19-year-old Watsonville man was arrested Thursday after an underage girl told police he had been sexually abusing her for several years.
According to Watsonville Police spokeswoman Michelle Pulido, the abuse started in 2007 when the victim and suspect, Julian Barrera, were both underage. It ended in 2012.
The victim gave police a “detailed account” of the abuse, Pulido said.

Barrera was booked into Santa Cruz County Juvenile Hall because he was a minor when the abuse occurred.
