WATSONVILLE — Watsonville Police on Friday arrested a man after he allegedly threatened several people with a handgun, and tried to choke a victim.

Cristobal Partida, 18, was charged with making threats, false imprisonment, brandishing a firearm, kidnapping and carrying a gun in a vehicle. He also faces charges for being a felon in possession of a firearm. He was booked into Santa Cruz County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bail, jail records show.

According to the Watsonville Police Department, Partida pointed a handgun at the victim’s head, and then threatened to kill the victim and the victim’s family. Partida also choked the victim during the assault. The handgun was not fired during the incident.
