WATSONVILLE — A little less than one year after unknown suspects stole five guns from a Watsonville gun shop, police have taken the last one of them off the streets.
That happened when Alexis Meza, 21, was arrested Monday after allegedly pointing the gun at a neighbor during an altercation on Holohan Road, Watsonville Police spokeswoman Michelle Pulido said Wednesday.

According to Pulido, police found Meza at a gas station nearby shortly after the call. He was carrying a handgun with a high-capacity magazine and several bindles of methamphetamine.
Markley’s Gun Shop was burglarized on Oct. 4, 2017, an incident that led to a 17-hour standoff outside the store.
Investigators do not believe that Meza was involved in the burglary. He was booked into Santa Cruz County Jail on weapons and drug charges, Pulido said.
Meza was not in custody Wednesday, court records showed.
