Marcelina Lopez Ruiz died peacefully surrounded by her family in Watsonville on Thursday, April 6, 2017. She was 84.

She was born on May 21, 1932 in Bellavista, Jalisco Mexico. She was a woman of many wonderful traits. She loved attending her daily Elder Day in Santa Cruz, where she loved her friends and the staff dearly. Ultimately, her life was devoted to her family and their happiness.

She is survived by her husband, Salvador Gonzalez Brambila; her children, Elba, Salvador, Francisco, Gregorio, Celso, Juan, Cristina, Magdalena, Elida and Consuelo Gonzalez; brother, Fermin Lopez Ruiz; and 23 granddaughters and 19 grandsons and 37 great-grandchildren.

Visitation services will be held on Wednesday, April 12 from 3-9 p.m. with a recitation of the Rosary at 7 p.m. at Ave Maria Memorial Chapel.
