On December 5, 2018 Michael Edward Sotomayor passed away in Watsonville. He was 66.
Michael was born on September 1, 1952 to his parents Raul and Sally Sotomayor. He was a passionate man who embraced all aspects of life. He graduated from Aptos High School in 1971, and played football in high school and at Cabrillo College. He was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys and Muhammad Ali. He enjoyed driving around in his 1974 Chevy Camaro. He was a resident of Freedom.
He is survived by his brothers, Ray (Jan) Hermosillo, Hank (Sylvia) Hermosillo, and Johnny Sotomayor; his uncle Felipe, aunts, nieces, nephews and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents Sally and Raul Sotomayor; and his grandparents Bernardo and Soledad Tapiz.
The Hermosillo Family would like to thank Watsonville Community Hospital for the care given to him in his final days.
A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
