Mike Cooper, 55, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, August 20, 2018 in Crescent City, CA.

Mike was born on April 12th, 1963 to Frank and Grace Cooper in Concord, CA.  He was predeceased by his father, Frank, and his oldest brother, Frank Jr. 

Mike is survived by his daughter, Emily; and his wife, Debbie; and step-children Anthony Cardenas, Emily Cardenas, Frank Cardenas; and nine grandchildren, all of Crescent City.  Mike is also survived by his mother, Grace; and brothers Hank, John, Ernie and Vaughn; as well as his sister, Maria; nephews Jon and Anthony Grames; and nieces Christina Grames, Miko Cooper; and sister-in-Law Carol Cooper.  Mike is also survived by his Aunt Gertie Zottola and his cousins Tony, Tina, Gretchen, Tami, Trudi, Tim and Gina.

Mike grew up in Aptos, CA and graduated from Aptos High in 1982.  After high school, Mike went to work for his brother Hank at the Y Liquors in Crescent City.  After 10 years at the Y Liquors, Mike became a Correctional Officer and worked at Pelican Bay Prison for 20 years.  He retired in 2013.

Mike enjoyed retirement cooking, traveling and playing with his Camaros!  Mike and Debbie traveled quite a bit the past 4 years visiting different countries, going to concerts and finding good spots up and down the Oregon and California coasts to park their 5th Wheel.  They had many more adventures planned.
