WATSONVILLE — Work continues on Harkins Slough Road of 48 single-family townhomes on a 4.72-acre site behind Ramsay Park.

Located at 35 Harkins Slough Road, the Blackbird Homes project will feature homes ranging from 1,500 to 2,200 square feet.

“We’re getting close to completion,” said Juggy Tut, president of Elite Development. “There are some details that have to be completed — some stucco, electrical — but we’re getting close. So far 28 of the homes just passed their electrical and water clearances.”

Work on the homes, which are perched on a hilltop overlooking Watsonville Slough and Ramsay Park, began in July 2015.
