California Grill to host annual Cancer Support Day

Watsonville delegation visits sister city
Watsonville Mayor Lowell Hurst and Councilman Felipe Hernandez signed a sister city agreement between the City of Watsonville and the Municipality of Jocotepec during a visit to Jocotepec on Sept. 15, finalizing the sisterhood relationship.
Birding festival expands
The 14th annual Monterey Bay Birding Festival took place last week in Watsonville, opening a window to the plethora of waterways, sloughs and riparian channels around the Central Coast for locals and visitors to get a taste of the wealth of bird life and the habitat that supports them.

The bridge that goes over Watsonville Slough, a connector between Harkins Slough Road and Walker Street, has now been cleared of the slalom of road cones that steered traffic around a natural gas pipeline upgrade project by a crew from Pacific Gas and Electric.
