CHP: 30-mile DUI pursuit leads from Capitola to Monterey County

California Highway Patrol officers on Tuesday arrested a Monterey woman after a 30-mile pursuit down Highway 1 that ended when her minivan became stuck, and she climbed in the back to drink a bottle of cognac, CHP Officer Sam Courtney said.

A 28-year-old Coralitos woman suffered severe leg trauma Saturday after she was pinned against her vehicle by a driver at Pinto Lake County Park, who then fled on foot, California Highway Patrol officer Sam Courtney said.
