Pajaro Valley Arts (PVA) Board of Directors has chosen Miriam Anton as their new Executive Director.

Anton comes on board as the gallery gears up for the next decade of growth and transformation in their new space at the Porter Building in downtown Watsonville, the board stated.

Anton said that she is “super-excited” to begin her position.

“The timing of my new role coincides with the idea that we’re at this precipice of taking off as we get ready to launch the building campaign, raising funds for the Porter Building,” she said.

She added that the organization’s new Main Street location will help it engage with a broader swath of the public.

In a prepared statement, PVA praised Anton’s experience, which includes business development, fundraising and marketing, and with promoting   fair treatment and full participation of all people

Miriam holds bachelor’s and master’s  degrees in art history, and has interned at the Guggenheim and worked in sales and marketing for art galleries in San Francisco.
