Pajaro Valley Unified School District is not considering increasing class sizes as a way to address future budget cuts.

In a Dec. 5 story, about the district’s Sustainable Budget Team, The Pajaronian referred to a recommendation by the California Department of Education to “increase kindergarten classes from 24 to 33 students, and first through sixth grade to 32. Secondary schools would stay at 35 students.”

But such a move is not under consideration as the district looks to cut $5 million from next year’s budget.
