Traffic in High 152 is expected to increase during upcoming construction (Tarmo Hannula/The Pajaronian)

Starting Monday, Aug. 15, motorists will encounter multiple lane closures in Watsonville on Main Street and East Lake Avenue (Highway 152). The work is a multi-tiered project. 

On Monday the eastbound, right lane will be closed on Main Street from Ramsay Park to Auto Center Drive.

• On Tuesday and Wednesday—July 16 and 17—all eastbound travel on East Lake Avenue will be closed from Lincoln Street to Beck Street, while westbound travel will remain open. 

Message and directional signs will detour eastbound travelers onto Lincoln Street. Palm Avenue and Hill Avenue, before returning to East Lake Avenue.

• On Thursday and Friday (July 18 and 19), the westbound (right) lane from Lincoln Street to Brennan Street will be closed.   

Motorists should expect delays of up to 10 minutes.
