The American Crown Circus, Circo Osorio, has set up at the Santa Cruz County Fairgrounds for a series of shows.

From clowns and jugglers to acrobats and magicians, the variety show, designed for people of all ages, will run several times a day through Nov. 16. They are at 2601. E. Lake Ave. For information, visit americancrowncircus.com.

Tarmo Hannula has been the lead photographer with The Pajaronian newspaper in Watsonville since 1997. More recently Good Times & Press Banner. He also reports on a wide range of topics, including police, fire, environment, schools, the arts and events. A fifth generation Californian, Tarmo was born in the Mother Lode of the Sierra (Columbia) and has lived in Santa Cruz County since the late 1970s. He earned a BA from UC Santa Cruz and has traveled to 33 countries.

  1. Tarmo you are such an asset to our community with your sharp camera eye and your seductive writing! That you were born in gold country doesn’t surprise me. My dad was born outside Jamestown at the round stone corral. Your wife is also a priceless member of the town.
