Watsonville Police detective Monique Rangel keeps her handgun ready following a report by a motorist that a man was brandishing a gun at a woman at Gomez Gasoline and Automotive on Main Street at Riverside Drive. Police from various agencies were quick to secure the situation and learn that no gun was involved, said Sgt. Mike Ridgway.
