A woman wanders through the crowd on stilts Saturday at the second annual Salinas Festa Italia, a one-day family street festival that features the food, live music and culture of Italy. “The importance of the festival has been dedicated to the importance of family and community as we celebrate Italian heritage and culture,” organizers said. “The mission of our great Salinas Festa Italia is to honor the contributions of our Italian American Immigrants.” Famed singer, Pasquale Esposito, and his band drew roars of applause with their performance that included popular Italian tunes.
