The California Highway Patrol investigates a solo-vehicle crash on Beach Road Monday. Officer Bryan Mutoza said a Gilroy man was traveling eastbound on Beach Road east of Panabaker Lane in a BMW X5 SUV at 1:25 p.m. when he lost control. The BMW drifted off the right shoulder and tipped over as it spilled into a drainage ditch. The driver, who was not injured, was arrest on suspicion of DUI, Mutoza said. Traffic was snarled in the area for more than an hour.
