One major and two minor injuries were reported early Wednesday morning when this Chevy Malibu careened off of San Andreas Road in Watsonville. The California Highway Patrol said the female driver, with two young children, were aboard the Chevy while traveling south near the 100 block of San Andreas Road approaching Beach Road at 7am. At one point the driver lost control and shot off the pavement, down an embankment and into a clutch of trees. One child in the rear seat, who was reportedly not wearing a seatbelt, suffered major injuries. All three victims were taken to Watsonville Community Hospital. The car sustained heavy damage. The incident is still under investigation.
