PHOTO: Wild land fire breaks out in Aptos

Smoke rises up from a wild land fire Monday in Aptos along Cox Road. About three acres were charred starting at 2 p.m. before fire crews on the ground and from the sky tamped it down. No injuries were reported and no structures were destroyed, according to Cal Fire officials.
