A firefighter keeps the water flowing to firefighters trying to tackle a small wildland fire that broke out Monday behind the 500 block of Ohlone Parkway. The 1:30pm blaze worked its way through dry grass, brush and a stand of eucalyptus trees but no homes were immediately threatened. Watsonville Division Chief Tom Avila said about an acre was charred behind the Seaview homes project and near Landmark Elementary School. Firefighters contained the blaze inside of an hour. The cause is still under investigation.
