WATSONVILLE — The RV campground at Pinto Lake City Park, closed since park manager Pat McQuade died in April, was scheduled to reopen Thursday.

McQuade ran the park for the city for three decades as a private concessionaire until her death.

The campground, and the rest of the park’s concessions including boat rental will now be overseen by two full-time city employees and some part-time ones, Watsonville Parks and Community Services Director Ana Espinoza said.

City officials will evaluate that arrangement after one year, Espinoza said.
