Raul Contreras died peacefully surrounded by his family in Watsonville on Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2019. He was 61.
Anyone who knew Mr. Contreras knows that he was a very reserved man. He had a happy spirit and was always willing to help anyone in need. He enjoyed listening to music, spending time with his grandchildren and riding his bicycle around town.
Mr. Contreras is survived by his wife, Silvia; his five children, Veronica, Raul, Mayra, Gerardo and Diana; and his six grandchildren.
A visitation service was held on March 10 at Ave Maria Memorial Chapel with a recitation of the Rosary. Mass was celebrated on March 11 at Our Lady of Assumption Church and the burial took place at Valley Public Cemetery.
