Regino Gonzalez Salcedo died peacefully surrounded by family on Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2019 in Watsonville. He was 82.
Mr. Gonzalez Salcedo was born on Sept. 6, 1936 in Mexico to Maria and Jose Gonzalez. He was a hard-working man devoted to his family. He was very loving and caring, treating everyone with kindness that he came across. He was an avid soccer fan. He enjoyed listening to music, especially Musica Nortena. He was passionate about cooking. He was a resident of Watsonville.
Mr. Gonzalez Salcedo is survived by his wife, Maria Del Refugio Lomeli; his children, Everado Gonzalez, Gerry (Diana) Lomeli, Johnny Lomeli, Henry (Natalie) Gonzalez, Trina (Jose) Gonzalez, Cathy (Gilbert) Gonzalez, Donna (Raul) Gonzalez, Guadalupe (Alfredo) Mendoza, Teresa Gonzalez, Lucia (Paul) Riddlen and Mike Gonzalez; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Magdalena Gonzalez.
A Visitation service will be held on Sunday, Feb. 24, from 5-9 p.m. with a recitation of the Rosary at 7 p.m. at Ave Maria Memorial Chapel, 609 Main St. in Watsonville. Mass will be celebrated on Monday, Feb. 25, at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Church, 721 Main St. in Watsonville, with the burial to follow directly after at Pajaro Valley Memorial Park, 127 Hecker Pass Road in Watsonville.
