Organizers of the Second Saturday art and cultural event in Watsonville invite all artists and designers to create a logo that captures the spirit of Second Saturday.

The next event is Jan 1

The free ongoing event, which runs the second Saturday of each month from 1-4pm, draws a wealth of participants and activities, from a zumba class in the plaza to business discounts, art activities and performances around the downtown area.

PV Arts Executive Director Miriam Anton said the logo should be “community-centered, creative, welcoming, and unmistakably Watsonville.”

The winning design will be featured across all event promotions, including signage, merchandise, social media, and marketing materials.

Awards for the winning logo include $550 for the contest winner (plus community recognition for their design) and $150 each for three semi-finalists (recognized as part of the semi-finalist showcase).

The submission deadline is Jan. 16. The winners will be announced on Feb. 14.
