Sheriff’s Office searching for suspect in Watsonville shooting

WATSONVILLE—The Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office has issued an arrest warrant for a Watsonville man they believe fired multiple shots from a handgun into a car on Aug. 16 in Watsonville.

Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Ashley Keehn said investigators believe 38-year-old David Setterberg of Watsonville shot into a vehicle, narrowly missing the victim, after a verbal altercation near the 2400 block of East Lake Boulevard in Watsonville around 6:15pm.

Setterberg fled the area in a white Nissan Altima that has since been located by investigators, Keehn said.

Setterberg is considered to be armed and dangerous, Keehn said.
