PRUNEDALE — Silvino Zafra Torralva died on Sunday, Sept. 3, 2017 in Prunedale, two days before his 52nd birthday.

He was born in Oaxaca, Mexico on Sept. 5, 1965 to Arnulfo Zafra and Raquel Torralva de Zafra. He had a passion for the outdoors specifically gardening. He enjoyed to cook, write poetry and spend time with his friends and family. He was a very compassionate, adventurous, amiable and charismatic person who touched the lives of many.  He was a hardworking, courteous and an extraordinary man with a tremendous heart who will never be forgotten and will forever be missed.

He is survived by his two daughters, Elizabeth Zafra and Nancy Zafra; father, Arnulfo Zafra; siblings, Yolanda Zafra, Filomena Zafra, Paula Zafra, Adan Zafra, and Juan Zafra; and two granddaughters.

Visitation will take place on Monday, Sept. 18 at Ave Maria Memorial Chapel on 609 Main St. from 4-9 p.m., the rosary will be held from 7-8 p.m. Church services will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 19; open casket will be from 9 a.m.-10 p.m. and Mass will begin at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Church located at 721 Main St. in Watsonville.
