CCS Softball: Aptos sheds no tears after early postseason exit
Aptos High was all smiles despite having its season stopped in the first round of the Central Coast Section Division II playoffs. And even if the No. 12-seeded Mariners were looking to throw a fit after their 3-2 loss to No. 5 Carmel High, they didn’t have much to pout about.

CCS Golf Championships, 2018: Tran’s stellar season ends in section championships
Tran this season led M.V.C. to a Monterey Bay League Pacific division championship and was also named the division’s Most Valuable Player after carding a league-best 73 at the MBL Championships, which also took place at the Laguna Seca Golf Ranch.

The Wildcatz received the No. 3 seed in the upcoming Central Coast Section Open Division playoffs and will be off until Saturday’s quarterfinal round.
CCS Baseball: St. Francis top seed in D-III
The Sharks (18-7), second-place finishers in the SCCAL, earned the top seed in the division and will play No. 8 Pinewood High (12-3) in the quarterfinals at a time and site still to be determined.
