WATSONVILLE — A man was injured Saturday night after an unknown suspect shot at him while he was in his vehicle.

According to Watsonville Police, at about 7:38 p.m., the 27-year-old man was parked on the 200 block of Palm Avenue when a vehicle, described as a black newer luxury type sedan with tinted windows, pulled up alongside him. A male in the front passenger seat of the suspect vehicle fired multiple shots at the victim who was seated in the driver’s seat of his vehicle. The victim was not hit by any of the bullets but he did suffer injuries from shards of broken glass that struck his face and arm, according to police.

He was treated and released from a local hospital. The victim does not live in the area where the shooting occurred, police said.

The suspect vehicle was last seen traveling northbound on Freedom Boulevard.
