BEN LOMOND — Santa Cruz Sheriff’s deputies are looking for a man who allegedly shot another man in the face before fleeing early Thursday morning.
Austin Combs, 28, is wanted for attempted murder.

The shooting occurred at about 5:45 a.m. in the area of Hihn Road and Condor Avenue.
After the shooting, the victim drove away to his Scotts Valley Drive residence where his father called 911, emergency dispatchers said. His father called 911, and the victim was taken to a local hospital.
Witnesses said Combs fled in a black Toyota pickup.
The Santa Cruz Sheriff’s Office asks that anyone who sees Combs not approach him.
