WATSONVILLE — Two suspects are at large after they stabbed the driver of a U-Haul truck and fled in the vehicle Friday.

According to Watsonville Police, officers responded to the 300 block of Green Valley Road for a report of a man suffering from a stab wound at about 6:23 a.m.

Officers learned the victim was in the parking lot of 2010 Freedom Blvd. in possession of a U-Haul truck. Two male suspects, wearing dark clothing with bandanas over their faces, forced the victim into the U-Haul then drove him to the 300 block of Green Valley Road, where they robbed him of his money, stabbed him, then left him in a parking lot injured, police said.

The victim suffered multiple wounds, which were significant enough to transport him to a trauma center. As of Friday afternoon, he was listed in stable condition.

The suspects fled the area in the U-Haul in an unknown direction.
