WATSONVILLE — Watsonville Police have strengthened their presence at Pajaro Valley High School Friday after they learned of a threat of a school shooting scrawled on a restroom wall earlier in the week.

The cryptic message states: “goodbye” and “die” and “There will be a shooting in PV Friday 2:30 warning. Don’t come to school.” It is followed by a crude drawing of a smiling face.

“On Tuesday we began investigating a potential school shooting threat,” Radich said. “That was received by our school resource officer that we have full time at Pajaro Valley High School. Since then we have been working with school administration to investigate this threat and its credibility. As of now we have not identified a suspect. We don’t believe the threat to be credible.”

Radich said that school would maintain its regular school schedule of classes Friday.

“We are prepared to act if needed at the school today,” he said.
