Davin Avila, St. Francis, (Jr.): Sharks’ junior recovered a fumble and took it back 45 yards for a touchdown to help the Sharks get past Marina High in last week’s Pacific Coast Athletic League Santa Lucia game. As the starting quarterback, Avila set up St. Francis with three successful scoring opportunities in the red zone.
Paola Jacobs, Mount Madonna, (Sr.): Hawks’ senior tallied 43 kills, 34 digs and seven aces to help Mt. Madonna finish 4-0 and win the gold division at the Alvarez High Varsity Volleyball Tournament. Jacobs also had 19 kills, five aces and 14 digs in last week’s league win against Scotts Valley.
