Emergency officials deal with a three-car crash on Elkhorn Road in Las Lomas Tuesday morning.

California Highway Patrol officer Chris Weaver said a female driver of a Mini Cooper was traveling south on Elkhorn Road. Around 8:45am a Ford pickup, with two men aboard, turned from northbound Elkhorn Road onto Werner Avenue. The Mini Cooper slammed into the Ford, knocking it on to its side. The Ford then careened into a Chevy van that was stopped on Werner Road at Elkhorn Road with a male driver. North Monterey County firefighters helped extricate the two victims in the Ford. Only minor bumps and scrapes were reported, Weaver said. Morning commute traffic in the area was clogged for over an hour. The incident is still under investigation.
