Two women were hurt early Thursday morning in a head-on crash on Highway 129 (Riverside Road) east of Watsonville. The California Highway Patrol said the women were aboard a Kia sedan that pulled out onto Highway 129 as the driver was attempting a left turn from Thompson Road around 5:30am. A Ford Ranger pickup traveling westbound on Highway 129 with two men aboard slammed head-on into the Kia. The impact heaved the Kia off the pavement into a ditch and flipped the Ford onto its roof. Both women were taken to area hospitals, while the men were uninjured, the CHP said. The incident is still under investigation.

  1. That’s all they do in watsonville. They cut you off then go slow. Watsonville has the worst drivers. Rude, inconsiderate jaggers. Don’t get caught at 4 way stop with a blinking red light with them.
