WATSONVILLE — Victor Mendoza Lopez died at home surrounded by his family in Watsonville on Friday, Nov. 10, 2017. He was 62.

Mr. Lopez was born in Jalisco, Mexico to Domingo B. and Aurora M. Lopez but moved to California at only 2 months old. He enjoyed many aspects of life. He was a hard worker that was passionate about his jobs; he worked for Pillsbury, Green Giant, Del Mar Foods and later with Aqua Landscape. He enjoyed gambling. He was an avid sports fan that loved watching his Dallas Cowboys.

He is survived by his mother, Aurora M. Lopez; daughter, Rosalina (Romey) Singh; brothers, Gabe (Beatrice) Lopez, Johnny (Angie) Lopez, Lupe (Annette) Lopez and Frank Lopez; sisters, Isabel (Robert) Suarez, Josie Lopez and Aurora Lopez; two granddaughters; and numerous nephews and nieces.

A Rosary will be held on Sunday, Nov. 19 at 7 p.m. at Ave Maria Memorial Chapel in Watsonville. The Mass will take place on Monday, Nov. 20 at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Church in Watsonville with the burial to follow at Valley Public Cemetery in Watsonville.
