Joseph Rock shows backpacks that are filled with school supplies Saturday in Santa Cruz during the annual Stuff the Bus drive, which is headed up by United Way. The event is geared to help in-need families give their kids a boost in starting the school year. More than 1,400 new backpacks were sent out thanks to a host of volunteer groups.
