Watsonville Police investigate a two-vehicle crash Saturday afternoon on East Lake Avenue. WPD said a Pajaro man was driving west on Eastlake Avenue just after 5 PM in a Toyota Camry east of Tuttle Avenue. At one point, he slammed into a parked Toyota Tacoma pick up. Witnesses said the man then tried to drive off but his 1998 Camry no longer worked. Police conducted a sobriety test on the male driver and took him into custody on suspicion of DUI. The man suffered only minor facial injuries. Both vehicles sustained major damage. One witness said he saw the suspect driving “fast” along East Lake Avenue just before the crash.
