RIO DEL MAR — A Santa Cruz woman was arrested twice in three days on suspicion of DUI in Soquel and Rio Del Mar.
The California Highway Patrol said Lori Forcier, 58, was driving a 2003 Buick Regal Wednesday in the parking lot in front of Safeway on 41st Avenue just past noon when she struck a parked Toyota Prius. She failed to stop at the incident, the CHP said, but rather continued driving to a nearby nail salon where she reportedly parked haphazardly before walking into the salon.
Forcier was having her nails done when the CHP caught up with her and determined she was intoxicated, according to officer Sam Courtney. She was arrested on suspicion of DUI and hit and run.
Then, on Friday, Forcier reportedly slammed into two parked cars on Mission Drive in Santa Cruz just after 11 a.m., Courtney said. Around 11:45 a.m. an officer spotted Forcier driving erratically near Rio Del Mar Boulevard and made a traffic stop. Forcier was arrest again on suspicion of DUI and hit and run.
No injuries were reported.
The incidents are still under investigation.
