WATSONVILLE—The California Landscape Contractors Association (CLCA) recently presented various awards to K&D Landscaping, Inc., a Central Coast landscape contractor, during its annual convention.
“The awards represent peak excellence within the landscaping industry and aim to shine a light on the talent and hard work culminated from the best in the business every year,” wrote Marketing Director for K&D Jamie Strange.
Competing against more than 140 entries, K&D took first place in the residential estate category for the Batra Residence, as well as an outstanding achievement award in the small commercial installation category for the Monterey County Government Center.
“We have been working so hard as a team these last two years,” said Jeremy Ross, K&D project manager. “We’ve put a lot of blood, sweat and tears into the field and on the drafting table. It is extremely validating to win an award at the CLCA state level and I am extremely proud of all the residential crew members and managers. Our craftsmanship is shining bright and I am excited about what the future has in store for us.”
The Batra Project, which was awarded first place for the Residential Estate category, was designed by Karen Aitken with Aitken & Associates and was installed in Fall 2018. The project features a 10-inch waterfall feature with a fire element located at the base and imported travertine tile pavers that incorporate unique patterns.
CLCA is a nonprofit trade organization of licensed and landscape-related contractors.
