Watsonville police and Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s deputies team up with the county Bomb Team Thursday morning after a suspicious device was found at the door of the County Courthouse in downtown Watsonville before 8am, said WPD spokeswomen Michelle Pulido.

s were evacuated, dozens of workers were turned away and Second Street, between Main and Rodriguez streets, was shut down. Eleven court cases were temporarily canceled. The Civic Plaza building was also closed, including the 6-story adjoining parking structure. At 10:50am Pulido said the device had been deemed non-explosive and officials began opening the street and surrounding buildings.
